Hot Tubbing it for a little while............

On Saturday I ran to Remsen to the hot tub guy there to get the right parts. He hooked me up with all the right parts and put them together for me too.

Then on Sunday Jayd got the parts put on and got it running while I landscaped around the cement pad that the hot tub sits on. We sat in it for about 20 minutes before the GFI blew. Oh well better than getting electrocuted. We have a few flaws to work out on it yet. While it was on it was great.

Derek came over on Sunday and took pix of the house. I will post those too.

Hot tubs and Birthdays

Not much new except I turned 25 or Monday so tonight some friends and I are going out to eat, without the husbands or kids. All of the girls seemed eager to accept.....I guess I am not the only one who needs a break every once and a while.

We also got the hand-me-down hot tub to our house finally. I know Mom was glad to have it gone. Jayd and I cleaned it up and filled it with water and had to rig it so we could start it because the knobs all cracked off. Once we got that done, we plugged it in and it worked! So now I just have to get the good people at World Wide Furniture and Spas to get my order right so I can get the knobs so we can sit in it without having to take the panel off and turn the jets on with a screwdriver. I think Jayd is ready to get it going to because he was actually taking the time to re-stain the old panels. He also thinks he is gong to make a new cover for it but that might be another blog.

Walking

Cameron took a few steps for Reese and I last night. He would hold on to the ottoman and then let go with one hand and stand there and then let go with the other. Then he stood there for a minute looking surprised that he was not holding on to anything and then he took like 4 steps to me. By the time Jayd got home Cameron was tired and did not go to Jayd.

For those of you who have been in my house lately, you have noticed that my cupboards are not done yet and Cameron is getting around too well now. So I am finding myself pulling him out of my pots and pans and other stuff I have stored in my "cupboards". Jayd promises that this winter he will get them done. I have a few pix of when we first started working on the kitchen and a recent picture. Enjoy.

In the beginning.........

Well I decided to do a blog so everyone can see the updates to our house and the other things going on in our life. I will post a pix of the house on the outside from the beginning but regretfully I don't have any of the interior before we moved in and started remodeling, but I am working on it. We just painted the outside this weekend so when I get Derek down to take the after pix I will post those also. Take Care.
